Mike Parkes

Mike, a retired furniture maker, is treasurer of the Researching FEPOW History Group. It was his idea to host the first research conference (held in 2006). In August 2005, the day after the opening of the FEPOW Memorial Building at the National Memorial Arboretum, he pondered whether a conference might be a good way to bring people to see the building. He was right.
